Many of our members started as complete beginners. Our coaches modify every exercise to suit your current fitness level. You'll be surprised how quickly you progress!

Yes! Mindset Body Transformations is exclusively for women. This creates a comfortable, supportive environment where you can focus on your fitness without feeling self-conscious.

Just comfortable workout clothes and trainers. No fancy gym wear needed – just come ready to move! Bring a water bottle and a towel.

We're a women-only studio built for the over-30s. Our members are in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond, and every exercise is scaled to suit you. Training designed around women over 30 is one of the things that makes Mindset different.

Classes & Training

We offer Small Group Training and Fight Klub. Each session combines strength, cardio, and conditioning for maximum results.

Most classes are 45-60 minutes long. This includes warm-up, the main workout, and cool-down stretches.

We recommend 2-4 classes per week for optimal results, but this depends on your goals and current fitness level. We can advise on the best schedule for you.

Menopause & Midlife

For most women, yes. As oestrogen falls, your body tends to store more fat around your middle, and you slowly lose muscle, which nudges your metabolism down. It is hormonal, not a willpower problem, and it responds really well to the right training. I explain the whole thing in my guide to menopause weight gain and how to lose it after 40.

Usually not by eating less and doing more cardio, which often backfires now. The big levers are strength training to rebuild muscle, enough protein, decent sleep and managing stress. Boring consistency beats heroic effort every time. Here is exactly how it works.

Not only safe, it is the single best thing you can do at this age. Two or three sessions a week protects your muscle, bones and metabolism, and no, it will not make you bulky. Absolutely, and it helps with far more than weight: energy, sleep, mood and brain fog. The trick is strength training plus daily walking, rather than punishing yourself with endless cardio, and being kind to yourself on the harder days. More on exercising through perimenopause.

It is optional, not magic, but the science is genuinely there. Creatine is well researched, it is not just for bodybuilders, and there is growing evidence it helps women over 40 build strength alongside training. HRT is a personal decision for you and your GP, and as a coach I would never advise on it. What I can say is that training and HRT work well together, and the things that protect your shape (strength, protein, sleep and walking) are in your hands either way. More in my piece on HRT and exercise.

Six weeks will not undo decades, and anyone promising that is fibbing. But it is long enough to feel stronger, build a real habit, sleep better and see a change you are proud of. Think of it as the kickstart, not the finish line. See real member transformations.

Yes, single-sex services are allowed in the UK where there is a genuine reason, and many women simply train more happily without men in the room. That is the whole point of Mindset: a space where you never feel watched or out of place.

That describes most of the women who join us, and honestly they are my favourite to coach. You do not need to "get fit first". We start exactly where you are, in a small group of women who completely get it. Here is how to start again after 40.
